Passing on the torch

Greetings Friends-

I hope this email finds you doing well! I have anxiously been awaiting the day when I could share this very exciting news with the Architexture Community. After much thought and consideration, I can formally announce that as of today, September 1st, I am passing the torch of salon ownership on to my colleague, Gigi Dennis!

I have owned Architexture Salon for approximately 8.5 years and have seen her through a start up space in Waldo, a build-out/expansion in Brookside, and carefully navigated our way through a pandemic. After having spent nearly a decade focusing all of my energy and emotion on my baby (my business), I have decided to take a step back and allow someone who shares the same passion for the industry the opportunity to grow Architexture Salon to her fullest potential.

I feel Gigi is the best person to fill this role as she is one of the hardest working women in the hair industry I have ever worked with. Gigi is driven, kind, sympathetic and passionate. She shows up everyday giving 110% to each person who is in her chair and thrives on knowing every single client is pleased with the end result. As I have observed her commitment to her craft and clientele, and realized my own desire to have more flexibility with my personal schedule, I realized Gigi is exactly the right person to step into the role as Owner of Architexture Salon! Gigi requested to keep the name and logo the same, which I was honored to oblige, as the name Architexture and the logo have so much sentiment, history and positive vibes attached to it. I have no doubt Gigi will grow and respect the reputation of Architexture Salon as it is indeed a passing of the torch.

To answer the burning question, “Will you continue to work at the salon?” The answer is yes! I will continue working at the salon, and my schedule will remain the same through the end of the year. After the first of the year, I will be making some adjustments but I have yet to determine exactly what that will look like. However, you can rest assured I will provide ample notice before any revisions to my schedule are made!

In closing, I would like to end with a quote from Poet Mark Anthony: “And one day she discovered that she was fierce, and strong, and full of fire, and that not even she could hold herself back because her passion burned brighter than her fears.” I feel this quote is representative of both Gigi and I and this new, exciting chapter of our lives.
