There are days I sit back in awe of how much my business has grown and how many strangers God turned into a community I now adore so deeply.
Just five years ago, I struggled with self confidence with my skills. I didn’t believe I was good enough, skilled enough, or even seen enough to be standing where I am today. Then God catapulted me into a salon under someone else’s leadership and that’s where my confidence began to grow.

It wasn’t perfect. There were challenges, uncomfortable moments, seasons that stretched me and many times that I fell short but looking back, it was truly a blessing in disguise.
What started as being forced to start a business overnight literally from scratch with no plan, no name, no clientele, no safety net has now become a business with clients who fly in to book with me, commit to memberships, and trust me with their hair and their confidence.
That is nothing short of the goodness, grace and provision of God. I never imagined I would be serving an entire community of women, helping them embrace not just healthy hair, but their natural beauty, their identity, and their confidence especially in a culture where natural hair still isn’t always celebrated or deemed “enough.”
KurlCulture has never just been about hair. It’s about healing, education, empowerment, and building a safe space where women feel seen, affirmed, and cared for from the inside out. It’s about purpose, obedience, and trusting God even when the path doesn’t make sense. Every appointment, every testimony, every transformation is living proof that God provides for what he calls us to.
