๐ Mapping methods challenge by taught me to think outside the box. โWhat sets you apart can sometimes feel like a burden and it's not! And a lot of the time, it's what makes you great.โ -
Creating this map for someone that inspires me came easy but yet difficult all at the same time. The easy part was knowing I needed to achieve a Diva look for the women that brought life to me. My mother, my rock, and best friend. The hard part was putting hours of knowledge from into one post and customizing it for mama dukes. That being said I had to attempt this look on my boss which is another inspiration. Her passion for this industry is motivating. She put the fire back in me to climb my ladder. I'm forever grateful for my team.
I started off by writing out the map on paper. I then tested the new theory on my eye sponge taking into consideration my mothers eye shape, eyelash length, and diameter. This is my process for every client. Mapping is crucial to keeping the set neat. I then did my base layer, followed up with a textured layer, mixed up some curls and threw in some spikes. Boom ... now that's a wispy diva for my momma lol " Thanks Lana ! "
My inspiration comes from my mother. She has spent every day of her life working hard, and you don't hear her complain about being tired or overworked. She taught me the value of living and being a caring mother. She always supported my dreams and passion no matter how silly it may have seemed to others but she always stood by my side.
