TRAFFIC ALERT
Drivers will encounter a closure on South Elm Street beginning next week as sewer installation kicks off between Keller Parkway and Taylor Street.

This phase of work is set to begin on Monday, May 18, and last for about two weeks, weather permitting. During the closure, traffic will be detoured using Taylor Street and Hwy. 377. Eastbound drivers on Taylor will also have the option of continuing south on South Elm Street.

As a reminder, we’re just over a year into this three-year project! With a $32 million price tag, the investments on South Elm Street include replacing all the water and sewer lines in the corridor, relocating private utilities, reconfiguring the stormwater system from bar ditches to curb-and-gutter, demolishing and reconstructing the bridge, repaving the road with stamped-and-stained concrete, adding on-street parking as well as a new public parking lot, and enhancing the pedestrian experience with amenities like sidewalks, landscaping, lighting, seating and more.

We know construction can be rough, but we’re looking forward to sharing the results of a safer, more beautiful Old Town Keller with our residents and visitors!

TRAFFIC ALERT
All lanes of Hwy. 377 will close for an estimated 10-15 minutes this week as Oncor installs a new line across the highway. The work is scheduled for 5 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 14, near Olive Street in Old Town Keller.

Drivers are strongly encouraged to use alternate routes and anticipate congestion, particularly with South Elm Street in its one-way, south-only configuration as part of ongoing construction.

Construction has started on Elm St this week!
Right now Elm St is open to south bound only!
It is best to come to the salon from Main St.
