Shampoos can be either acidic or alkaline; a shampoo that advertises itself as being "pH balanced" should be slightly acidic. There are several reasons using a pH balanced shampoo is good for your hair.
The outside part of your hair is called the cuticle, and it is made up of overlapping scales, like the tiles or shingles on your roof. Alkaline products cause these cuticle scales to open, exposing the interior of the hair shaft, called the cortex. Which will then strip any color out.. Even plain water is alkaline enough to open the cuticle of the hair. An alkaline shampoo opens the cuticle even more. It’s more than just a beauty session.

This chair was never just about the hair 💇🏻‍♀️ (or nails) 💅🏼for me... even when I thought it was in the beginning.
I thought I was building a business, chasing success, perfecting my craft-
but the whole time, God was positioning me for something bigger.
He gave me more than clients...
He gave me women with stories.
Women carrying heartbreak, pressure, insecurity, struggles, silence. So many things. 
And somewhere between the consultation and the install, walls start to come down.
Conversations get deeper.
And what looks like a beauty appointment turns into something holy.
I've seen tears fall in this chair.
I've felt the shift when heaviness lifts.
I've watched women walk in unsure of themselves and leave standing a little taller, a little lighter, a little more whole.
Because it was never just about the hair, the nails, the toes or any of the outer layers. 
It's about creating a space where you're safe to be real.
Where you're reminded of your worth.
Where God can meet you exactly where you are-no pressure, no performance, just presence.
I don't take that lightly.
This is my assignment.
So yes, I'll give you the service you come in for...
but I'm also going to pour into you, be real with you, pray over you (even if it's silently),
and hold space for whatever God wants to do in that moment.
I'm just the hands.
This is His work and I feel abundantly blessed to be the vessel.
God is always in this story. He walks in before I do.
