Clients might not always be aware of what to expect from a deep tissue massage. It's not just about increasing pressure. Usually, the focus is on particular areas where tension needs addressing. At times, releasing a knot might involve breathing through tough spots and anticipating soreness (similar to post-workout soreness πͺ) in those areas following the massage session.
These massage sessions standout to me π―. While relaxation massages are needed, this specific type brings me genuine joy in my practice. Seeing a client leave the table with much less pain than when they came in is incredibly fulfilling.
Just the other day, a client left the massage room and mentioned being able to bend over and put on their shoe without any discomfort, a task they struggled with previously. This is what it's all about! π

π5 Tips on how to keep that post massage feeling as long as possible!
Drink Up!
Drink more water after a massage than you normally would to provide the hydration your body will need to flush the newly moving toxins out!
Ice it up!
The best way to treat sore muscles, post massage, is to apply some ice to the area for a quick 10-15 mins to decrease soreness!
Nourish your body!
The release of "feel good" endorphins will have you feeling a natural high. You may also be feeling a bit tired and maybe a little light headed, grab a snack to give yourself a energy boost!
Postpone your Workout!
Hopefully you are feeling relaxed! It is best to Let your body enbod how it feels by giving it a chance to rest. Your muscles were just worked and tension was released, to avoid risk of injury or overworking a muscle, it may be a good idea to avoid any strenuous physical activity for the remainder of the day!
Soak it all in!
One of the simplest ways to ease stress and stress-related problems is to soak in a tub full of hot water with two cups of epsom salt!
When massage is a regular part of your life, you are guaranteed to feel the benefits!
