First, we want to say thank you.

To every parent and client who has supported Brave Little Clippers — whether it’s been one visit or the past four years — we are truly grateful. This salon exists because you trust us with your children, and that is something we never take lightly.

We also want to acknowledge something honestly.

There are times we run behind. There are times appointments take longer than expected. And for that, we are sorry.

But we want to explain why.

At Brave Little Clippers, we work on children’s time — not clock time. Many of our clients are on the spectrum or have sensory sensitivities. That means each day can look different. What works beautifully one appointment may not work at all the next. A child who walked in confidently last month may need an extra 20 minutes of reassurance today. That is the reality of sensory-based care.

Under no circumstances will a child ever be rushed. A child will never be treated like a number. We will never hold a child down, force a service, or stop a haircut halfway through simply because the scheduled time has expired. Our children’s safety, emotional well-being, and comfort are our top priority — always.

We love the children who come into this salon as if they were our own.

That commitment sometimes means we run behind.

We understand that families have busy schedules and personal obligations. We know it can be frustrating when timing doesn’t go as planned. Please know that we are constantly working to improve our systems while still protecting the heart of what we do.

Being a sensory-focused hairstylist is incredibly rewarding, but it can also be challenging. Finding stylists who genuinely love working with children — especially children who struggle with haircuts — is not easy. We give our all to this business and to your children every single day.

All we ask is for understanding. These are children. Some are navigating anxiety, sensory overload, or developmental differences. They deserve patience. They deserve dignity. And they deserve time.

Please reschedule if your child has any symptoms such as:

If you or anyone in your immediate household has had Hand, Foot & Mouth, COVID, Flu, or RSV, please wait 14 days before coming in for a haircut appointment.
