Some of my most recent work.

I grew up in the Shenandoah Valley of Virginia. My youth was spent playing three to four organized sports every year. I also took full advantage of exploring, foraging, fishing and hunting the George Washington National Forest that was in my backyard. I was also immersed in the family business of home building, at a very young age. It didn't take too many summers to figure out, that wasn't going to be my path. It wasn't until after high school and a couple years of wandering that I discovered an unknown and untapped artistic side. I started experimenting with hair color as self expression. That was until i walked into my first 'high end' salon and found my tribe. The journey began....

The love of hair color was well established and soon came the love of color theory, chemistry, problem solving and color correction. Under constant guidance from a few selfless mentors, combined with my desire to be a great hair colorist. I was able to find early success in the salon and then started traveling for Redken as a color educator. That propelled me to work with and learn from some of the industry's top artists. Then came several opportunities to work in larger markets but none of them felt right. That was, until the summer of 2000... Through an invitation from friends within the industry, I came to Knoxville for a visit. The warmth and friendliness from everyone I met, to the vibe of the city, the University of Tennessee of course and how quickly I could get to the mountains. It felt right. A couple of short weeks later, I was living and working here.

It's been 22 years since my journey as a master hair colorist began. My desire to continually want to learn, seeking perfection in this beautiful craft, truly listening, caring and learning from my clients. I am constantly telling my friends(clients) 'yes, it's your hair, but it's my name on it.'

My two boys and I call Roane County home. We are often somewhere on the Cumberland Plateau or in the Cherokee National Forest nurturing that' wild at heart' spirit and our love for the outdoors.I also enjoy trying to capture some of nature's beauty and detail through the lense of my camera. Lastly I have found my way back to home construction. Doing many different projects at my home as well as others.
