I was brought to tears as I just saw Gov. Lee state that we will not be able to reopen on May 1st.
I have been making masks for days, cleaning and sterilizing my salon and Luna Boutique Suites. I have made signs and bought the forehead thermometer. Steve is making hand sanitizer for all stations and community areas. We were booking clients accordingly making for extended hours and 7 day work weeks upon return.
So much work and now we wait longer. I miss my guests so much. I am sorry that some now thought they would finally get serviced and now we wait and start over again.
Tracy has been wonderful and worked effortlessly to get people rescheduled and will do so again once we have a date. I also want to thank the wonderful people who continue to reach out. Air hugs to you all!
If you are interested in product or root touch up options let Tracy know and we will see if we can provide and do a doorstep delivery.
Love you all! Stay safe.
Cannot wait to have my hands in hair again!!!
I hope you and yours are well. Thank you for your patience and understanding as we have been trying to navigate the new territory that COVID-19 has taken us to. I love and miss everyone dearly and cannot wait to get back behind the chair.
Currently it is mandated by Governor Bill Lee for salon professionals and non-essentials to remain closed through April 30th. To reopen on Friday, May 1st.
I am attempting to start rescheduling ALL appointments. Please consider with a 6 week closure in order to try and get everyone back on schedule and in a fashion that is fair I am rescheduling EVERYONE. If you have a current appointment coming up in April, May, etc. I cannot honor it at this time. Anyone that was on the schedule will be offered an alternative and we will contact you. If you have not been contacted by April 25th and would like to schedule an appointment we will be able to know what we can offer at that time. There will be no online booking offered at this time. I am sorry to have to do this and hopefully no one will be extended too far out, but please understand I have no other option as many of my guests have already waited 4 weeks or longer.
I will be working extended hours and days so if when Tracy reaches out to you with an option I have provided to her if that does not work for you tell her your limitations or what you can do, but we can make no guarantees and it may extend your wait time.
Also, as Luna and Designs by Ashley reopens we will be asking that no one comes with you to an appointment. There will be no double bookings within my suite. Reduce bodies and maintain distance. Please no children unless it is the child’s appointment. I will also be giving 15 minutes cleanup between each client to sterilize, so please do not come in until your scheduled time unless Tracy or I have requested. If anyone is sick, feeling sick or has traveled I ask that you do not schedule yet or to not come in.
I cannot tell you how much you are all appreciated and thank you for paying it forward, for checking in, and for being the best guests that I could ask for. Everyone is in the same situation and we will be strong and get back to our regular routine with some awesome hair!
Love you all and stay healthy and safe!

Coronavirus Update
This has been the most difficult time of my professional life. Designs by Ashley is going to temporarily close until Tuesday, March 31. It has been a gut-wrenching decision. Based on the most recent numbers showing the continued spread of the virus, I believe the sooner we act, the better we’ll be. And I know in my heart this is the only responsible action for my clients, myself, and my family. I love my clients and I can’t bear the idea that my salon might possibly spread the virus. Tracy has already started the process of rescheduling appointments.
Thanks in advance for your understanding, patience, and support. I’ll be back and when I am, I’ll look forward to providing the best possible salon services. Until then, please take this seriously. It’s not a hoax and we need to work together to minimize the possibility of this spreading to people most susceptible to the illness. This is the time to think about others. That’s why I’m staying home.
Stay tuned, stay home, and stay safe!
Love,
Ashley 💕
Dear beloved client,
Crazy times seem to be the new normal for the foreseeable future. Consequently, I wanted to communicate my thoughts to you regarding the coronavirus outbreak. As you know, I have always placed the highest priority in providing quality salon services to all my clients. I take safety for granted in the salon, but in the midst of this outbreak, I want to share some additional precautions I plan to implement in order to ensure the continued safety of my clients, colleagues, family, and myself.
Currently, the Center for Disease Control (CDC) has only recommended quarantine for people who have either tested positive for coronavirus or for those who have been potentially exposed to the virus. In addition, state and local public health officials have not required businesses to close at this time. Based on that information, I plan to stay open and to continue to book appointments. Of course, the situation is very dynamic and recommendations can change at any time. If they do, I’ll respond accordingly and let you know of any changes as soon as possible.
During this time, I ask your cooperation. Together, we can keep you looking beautiful and do it safely at the same time. I will be performing extra cleaning and disinfection of doorknobs, chairs, countertops, shears, tools, etc. This may add some time between clients, so I appreciate your patience if this causes unexpected delays in my schedule.
Here is what you can do.
1. If you are experiencing a fever, cough, or other flu-like symptoms, please call Tracy at 865-368-0334 to reschedule your appointment as soon as possible. There is no financial penalty for doing this.
2. If anyone you have recently come into close contact has a fever, cough, or other flu-like symptoms, please call Tracy at 865-368-0334 to reschedule your appointment. Again, there is no financial penalty for doing this.
3. I will have premoistened wipes if you need to wipe your hands upon entering the salon. During your visit, please follow “social distancing” practices. We all know them by now. No hugging, no touching others. If you sneeze or couch during your visit, please cover your mouth with your arm. Don’t use your hands to cover your mouth when you sneeze or cough.
4. If you arrive early for your appointment, please stay in your car until the scheduled appointment time. This will reduce contact between clients during your visit. Also, please do not bring others with you to your appointment if possible.
5. Finally, if you elect to cancel an appointment or if you have any questions, just give Tracy a call at 865-368-0334 and together we’ll work through this with you.
Thanks in advance for your understanding. I hope we quickly return to a time when our biggest concern is whether or not it’s a good hair day. Until then, I’m committed to keeping you looking your best as safely as possible!

I did a thing....Don’t we all get a little bored with our color or cut, but love what we have to start and don’t want to change permanently. Holley Helton of Peace Love Hair within Luna placed some balayage through the crown and then we glazed with the new Redken 9VRo in Shades EQ. Loving the violet/rose mix. Too much fun!!!!
Have fun with your color this fall! Thanks Holley, I love it!!! 😍

After a little over 4 years within the Sola Salon Suites I said goodbye last night. Sola gave me a home and an opportunity to step out of the commission salon and become my own boss and to give me the drive to keep moving to the next level. I am proud of my achievements and humbled by the learning experiences along the way.
Thank you Sola!
Opening on Monday!!!

I want to take a moment and thank all of my wonderful guests!
I apologize for the difficulties over the next 7 weeks as there are literally no appointments available until mid-July. I have expanded my days to the max and we are maintaining a cancellation list. Please know that I will be completely unavailable from June 23rd-July 8th. Tracy and Vagaro will continue to be available to make or change appointments and/or answer any questions.

Zero Talent
Based on my background and interests, I am often involved in discussions about science and photography. I have learned that scientists often say things like, “I’m not a photographer. I don’t have the talent for it.” Conversely, photographers often say things like, “I’m not a scientist. I don’t have the talent for it.” The underlying assumption in both statements is that there is some inherent talent or gift required to be a photographer or a scientist.
I saw something in a colleague’s office earlier this week at work and it made me think of these discussions. Scribbled onto a whiteboard, my colleague had written a list of things that don’t require talent. At the top, the list began with “Ten things that don’t require talent.” I was struck by the list and I haven’t stopped thinking about it since. I asked him where he got it and he couldn’t remember. As I thought about it, I combined a couple of the items on the list and came up with my own list of eight things that don’t require talent. I’ve included my list here. Take a look at it and tell me I’m wrong. OK, I thought so.
Now, go out and be a photographer. Be a scientist. Be both.

Fall is here and winter is coming!!! Love fall hair!
Wanting to let you guys know that appointments are going fast and only a few slots left until Christmas. Book now, while you can.
We are keeping a cancellation list and will also keep everyone informed when we have openings.
Top priority on changes to those that are waiting!
To all my wonderful peeps....Tracy will be on vacation this next week and will not be aiding with text and phone calls. I will be in New York until Tuesday morning and will be unable to take calls until then. Upon my return with a fully booked week I will only be able to respond to calls or text while between clients or at the end of the day. We are sorry for the inconvenience and appreciate your patience. Thanks so much!

I am so thankful for all my amazing guests!!🙌Through the years of being in a salon suite everyone has shown such patience and understanding to my not having a full time receptionist. I know Tracy and I have made mistakes and have sometimes had lengthy response times or simply nothing available.
My next attempt to make things easier might still have a few glitches and of course you are always welcome to call or text especially if you are not sure what services you have done. Tracy responds Tuesday - Friday.
