Less than one year ago, Banter Barbershop opened its doors with one goal: to build something different for Knoxville. A place where great haircuts, great conversation, and genuine connection come first.

Today, we're incredibly honored to announce that Banter Barbershop has been nominated for Best Barbershop in the 2026 Knoxville Community's Choice Awards, and our very own Kandice Deniz has been nominated for Best Hair Stylist.

To be recognized by this community in our first year is something we don't take lightly. Every client who's trusted us, shared our work, left a review, or simply sat in one of our chairs has helped make this possible.

Tomorrow isn’t the beginning.

It’s proof.

Six months ago, Banter opened its doors. The first few months tested us in every way possible. There were plenty of reasons this shouldn’t have worked. Plenty of moments where the easier option would’ve been to quit.

But we didn’t.

Instead, we kept showing up. We kept building. We kept believing in the idea that a barbershop could be more than a place to get a haircut.

Tomorrow is our way of celebrating that we’re still here.

Not because it was easy.
Not because everything went according to plan.

Because we fought for it.
