We are currently shut down due to the regional state health order. Praying we can get through this one fast with everybody staying healthy and safe so we can all get back to what we love. ... It’s been a week of our second shut down. At first I was really sad about it but understood that if this is the best to keep people safe and healthy from Covid spread then so be it and we will get through a second round....Now the more I’ve had time to think and the recent working outside option, I’m more really mad than sad. If we should be shut down so should all the other businesses and gatherings that aren’t being even 10% as safe as stylists are. Asking us to work outside of our sanitized controlled salon in a dirty parking lot in summer heat and wind with a mask on is complete bs. Complete disrespect to us and our clients. Explain to me how working in the hot sun for 8+hours a day with a mask on and our clients sweating with a mask and cape on but not being able to provide them with water, is healthier and more sanitary than working in our sanitized salon we’ve spent hours complying to and setting up all protocols to keep our clients, stylists, and all their families safe?! Working outside would mean no hand washing, no temps checked because it’s too hot, electrical cords and hair blowing everywhere. Heat exhaustion. Sounds safe 🙄 You’ve created a 💩 storm. Regulate salons more than you have and you’d see how hard we all have been working keeping everybody safe. Don’t punish all of us that have more than complied to all your regulations, not only because we were required to with our license but because we care deeply about our clients and want to keep everybody safe and healthy. In the past 6 weeks I would stay and sanitize the salon after a 10 hour day at 10:00pm just to be sure it’s immaculate for the first stylist and client the next morning. Making the world think we aren’t being safe during this time is a slap in the face. We have 1600 hours of education in sanitation. Shutting us down is not right when the data is just not there of Covid spread in salons to be in favor of this second shutdown. We need our careers back..... Renew Salon will not be cutting hair outside. We believe in keeping our clients, stylists, and everybody’s family safe 🤍✌🏻
