I do not believe there's anything wrong with treating yourself or a love one every now and then but when you start using some of these methods to your benefit, with the wrong intentions in mind or find yourself falling in to these traps (we're not perfect and do become aware of our flaws at some point) and using them against someone else, you should start asking yourself some REAL QUESTIONS. Such as- Am I becoming or "am" a material girl/guy? Am I sick? Am I teaching my kids the right way to live?

My grandmother maybe all kind of person to some but I am thankful for the non-verbal things she thought me growing up including not being faze with those that are so flashy because if you look deeper there's something else these kind of people are hiding ex: lack of self-worth, depression- things that being flashy with money/things cannot fix especially if you don't use that money wisely. -Witskerbial
