For Alyssa, Nanoplasty has been a game changer for her dense, naturally wavy hair.
But What is Nanoplasty?
Nanoplasty is a formadehyde free permanent straightening treatment. My preferred brand of Nanoplasty is the Dennis Bernard Straightlines treatment, which infuses the hair with nanoparticles of Vegan Keratin, Amino Acids, Peptides, Shea Butter, and Coconut Butter.
How Does Nanoplasty work?
Nanoplasty is a luxury straightening service, allowing for clients who would normally be incompatible with permanent straightening treatments to be able to receive a permanent straightening solution without causing breakage, scalp irritation, or leaving the hair feeling dry, wooly, and untamed. This blend of natural conditioning ingredients and straightening actives are Endothermic, meaning that they require heat to reform the hair’s inner bonds, creating a truly personalized process for each and every person. Alyssa prefers a pin straight, air dry-ready look so for her we utilize dryer heat while processing, allowing her hair to really absorb the solution. Once processed, we rinse off most of her solution, leaving a light layer on her hair to assist with giving slip and glide while performing our iron manipulations to seal the treatment in and fully form her hair into it’s new straight format. Once ironed, the process is complete and we proceed with shampooing and a deep conditioning masque, and with a light blow dry hair hair is now pin-straight and ready to roll for another 6 months 💕
I am so glad I expanded my menu to offer this beautiful service option, and am able to provide this specialty service to the guests who desire ammonia, hydroxide, and Thio free permanent straightening with the next generation of texture management technologies ❤️

Soft, iridescent and multitonal reflects are the name of the game for Crystal’s greige hair color. Using Goldwell TopChic Zero on her retouch, I combined 7NN, 9NA, and 8SB with cool pink, cool violet, and pearl blue Pure Pigments to add an additional level of contrast and luminosity that shifts depending on the lighting! For her ends, Davines The Present Time in shades 8,72, 9,21, and 8,1 blending with the same ratio of Pure Pigments provided a beautiful shimmering finish on her preexisting color and added additional intensity that can’t be mistaken for anything else. On her hairline, I used Kevin Murphy+Blonde High Lift color in 12.0, giving a beautiful creamy cool contrast that blends seamlessly with her natural white hair and provides wonderful low-contrast regrowth to really make her color pop while remaining true to her natural look.

Modern Cropped Mullet and a fresh brow wax for the Brother-in-Law!
Ryan needed a lot of dry texturizing and a good debulk for the sides to really help him keep his shape and help shape his hair while he grows into this cut. We styled with Goldwell Air Dry BB Cream and Texture Paste on wet hair for soft, touchable texture and a dry, pieced out finish.

At Mane Focused Studio, I take the time to create and curate the best end result for your individual hair goals. For Erica, today was a much-needed moment of self-care as this mom got a full makeover and refresh so she could truly feel like herself again. After almost a year of growing out a solid blonde and having a big chop moment, she wanted to change it up - and a major transformative moment was planned. To start, I applied accent foils using Blacklight Blonde Science Extra Blonde lightener, focusing on bringing up her blonde with a focus on blending the solid ends with the solid depth at her root, working for a soft and blended result. To blend the few silver stands between and to blend the existing blonde, I applied a soft color in between using Kevin Murphy Color.Me in 8.2 and 7.1, creating a cool, iridescent beige blend that would marry her existing color, fresh blonde, and her extensions into harmony. Once shampooed, I glossed with Kevin Murphy Color.Me Gloss in 10.03 and 10.83, creating a cool, reflective creamy blonde finish with a golden undertone for luminosity and blew her out, preparing for our 20” keratin bond install. Erica has very dense hair and wanted to feel like herself again, identifying with long hair and wanting to feel comfortable while growing her hair back to its former length. After I custom blended multiple shades of color to match our goals in mind, I applied 200g of my 20” private label keratin bonds and cut them into long layers, preserving as much of her natural density as possible and creating a full density application to allow her to truly enjoy the benefits of custom hair extensions that match her color, texture and density to feel as seamless as possible. This 8.5 hour process was long and tedious, but so worth it for the end result and we both loved the way it came out!

For Liz, the journey away from dark brown home hair color took a major jump forward! During our session today, she gave me creative freedoms to decide what shade of color we would finish her hair in and in order to really make the results pop, I went in and really put in a lot of work to lift out as much of the dark red and brown color she had applied. For her application, I started with Davines Beautiful Things Chelating Pre-Treatment, K18 mist, and got to mixing. I started with a partial foil of heavy highlights, using Blacklight Blonde Science Extra Blonde and Goldwell TopChic in 12BS in alternating foils to not only lift her hair as light as possible, but to shift the color in between in order to casually brighten and refine as much of the underlying red pigments as possible. Once we processed, I proceeded with Pre-toning her hair to refine a lot of the underlying pink-red staining using Wella Blondor Toner in shades /03 and /18, creating a mild green-based permanent toner to really refine and remove as much of the underlying pink and to provide a more natural base for glazing. Once dried, I reestablished her depth at the root using Kevin Murphy Color.Me in 5.0, 6.2, and 7.7 for a cool chocolate finish and glazed the ends under the parietal with Kevin Murphy + Code in 8.21, a beautiful ash beige and toned the top using Goldwell TopChic in 10GB for a rich, warm buttery blonde to provide maximum refinement and a warm, caramel cream finish for brightness and dimension. I used Epres Bond Protection during each step and styled using Blacklight 18 in 1 Beautifier, Hot Like Me De-Frizz Smoothing Serum and my GHD Chronos Max iron.

Gengar Inspired Calico tones for Brittany |
Brittany always loves to try something new, and this color really pushed my creativity to the next level! We have been doing calico tones on her hair for about a year now, and during consultation she told me that a friend had sent her a photo of a Gengar Pokémon inspired calico style and I immediately said yes. To pre-treat, I applied Davines Beautiful Things Pre-Treatment and got ready to pull out the K18 and Epres to keep her hair in top condition. With her existing color, I started by block coloring her nape and top layers using Kevin Murphy Color.Me in 3.00 and lowlighting over her existing copper tones with Davines Mask hair color in shades 6,22 and 5,11 to create a deeper plum violet shade, and highlighting selected panels using Goldwell SilkLift Strong. Once lifted, I pre-toned our lift using Color.Me in a blend of Lilac and Ice to create a soft, pink violet blonde that will accept our semi-permanent glaze easily. Once processed, treated with K18 and dried, I applied Pravana Chromasilk Vivids in a blend of Luscious Lavender and Smoky Violet and processed. Once rinsed, I shampooed with Hot Like Me Botanical Culture Shampoo, applied a second round of K18 to provide additional repair and deep conditioned with Hot Like Me’s Extreme Repair Hair Mask. Brittany’s hair was styled using Hot Like Me Nutritious Glow Leave-In, and Goldwell StyleSign Root Boost and Shaping and Finishing Spray

For Johanna, a spring refresh with some tweaks were in order for her first visit to Mane Focused Studio. Her hair had a history of highlights, full coverage color, and most recently a transition into a more blended coverage. Her tonal finish was a rich brunette, however the tonal reflect was just a *hair* too warm for her fair skin so it was time to utilize some Mane Focused Magic to get her hair into it’s best form and into healthier shape. I started by applying the Davines Beautiful Things Chelating Pre-Treatment, and performing a base retouch using Kevin Murphy Color.Me using shades 7.00, 6.2, and 6.1 to create a rich, slightly cooler milk chocolate on the retouch and brightened her ends using Goldwell TopChic Blonding Cream and 30 volume on teased ends to remove any residual color build-up without using any harsh lighteners. Once we processed, I shampooed twice with Davines Beautiful Things Chelating Shampoo, and applying K18 to condition and revitalize her hair, providing the perfect base for our final tones. To glaze, I used Davines The Present Time in shade 8,72 on her base and melted into a blend of Kevin Murphy Color.Me Gloss in shades 7.2 and 9.28 to balance her ends into a beautiful, muted beige with a kiss of richness for a wonderful finish on her dimensional bronde hair. I shampooed using Shibui Everydayness Shampoo and Conditioner, and styled smooth to cut using K18 mask and we finished by resetting her natural curl with DesignMe Bounce.Me Spray Gel and Goldwell StyleSign Bundling Gel

Tasha likes to change her hair up here and there but this glowy, rich chocolate brunette with dimensional rose tones really brought her color into the new season with a fresh lease on life! To start, I applied the Davines Beautiful Things Chelating Pre-Treatment to prepare her hair for processing by neutralizing and removing all of the minerals that her hard water deposited onto her hair since her last visit. Once applied, I proceeded by performing a base adjustment on her ends by using Kevin Murphy +Code in shade 7.1 + 20vol with Goldwell Pure Pigments in Cool Pink and on her natural root with the 7.1 + 20 vol and processed until her hair had a visible shift in pigment at the root, approximately 15 minutes overall processing. Once processed, I utilized the Beautiful Things Chelating Shampoo twice, and performed my first K18 treatment. Once her hair was dried, I isolated soft teased highlights using Goldwell SilkLift Strong + 20 vol throughout the interior of her hair and utilized a stronger method around her hairline to build a beautiful melt of brightness around the focal points of her color. Once her highlights were sufficiently lifted to a bright blonde, I applied our final glaze of color to her hair using Kevin Murphy Color.Me in Rose and 6.2 at the regrowth, and glazed the ends using Oligo Calura Gloss in 7-5 and Clear to create a super-sheer, rosy deposit over her freshly lifted hair. Once her hair was fully processed, I rinsed, applied post-color treatment, and cleansed and conditioned. We styled using the Wella Ultimate Smooth Oil in Serum, Design Essentials Silk Essentials and Design Essentials Reflections Liquid Shine to create this beautiful, glassy-smooth finish and to truly showcase the luminosity of the color.
