This is the real reason I recommend extensions ⬇️

Most of the people who ask me about extensions aren’t looking for super long hair.

They’re really just looking for fuller hair 💇‍♀️

The thing is, fine or low-density hair doesn’t have a lot of built-in support.

So if your hair falls flat, won’t hold a style, or looks thin, it’s usually a density issue, not a styling issue.

And no, you’re not doing anything wrong, it’s often just genetics 🥲

That’s usually when I recommend extensions.

They add support, help hair look fuller, and make styles last longer with way less effort.

All of my clients notice the difference almost immediately.

For this client we added a few pieces on both sides to help with fullness and length. You probably can’t even tell they’re there

Having some density concerns? Add a few pieces at your next silk press appointment.

Real results require real commitment

In November my client decided after growing out her color that she wanted a bob. So we cut about 4-5 inches off. By the time she came back she had already grown back about half of what we cut.

Genetics plays a role in hair growth, but so does letting go of splits, those tight ponytails, & that negative self talk that your hair won’t grow. Because it will, you just have to trust the process 🤗

Blended, perfect match right?

Yea, after 12 hours 😵‍💫

This was one of the hardest colors I have ever done.

We weren’t just matching a color we saw on IG. We were trying to match her leaveout which is her natural color, and that was the challenge.

Achieving a natural brown without having to match your leave out to your bundles is attainable with the right stylist.

Unfortunately my client Nina spent a lot of time with me that day trying to get her bundles the right color. But I got it mastered now, so you won’t have to 🤗

Here’s the truth:

A silk press isn’t magic, it’s science. ✨

And if it’s been over a year since your last one, your hair might not be ready to hold up to the sleekness you’re dreaming of.

Silk presses thrive on healthy, well-maintained hair. Regular trims, treatments, and hydration help create a strong foundation for your style to last.

Skipping all that? Your hair might be too dry, fragile, or prone to frizz to keep the look intact.

Don’t wait another year, start your healthy hair routine now! 💆🏾‍♀️

Let me help you create a plan to keep your hair gorgeous and thriving all year long. Book today! 🖤

Side note: Don’t judge my broken nail 😭

Skipping trims doesn’t protect your length, it usually causes you to lose more. Split ends don’t stop on their own.

They travel up the hair shaft, weaken the strand, and eventually break… which is why your hair can grow but still look like it’s not getting longer.

Routine trims support length retention, fullness, and healthier styling results.

If you’re experiencing tangles, thin ends, or breakage… it’s time.

True protective styling keeps the hair moisturized, reduces friction, and supports your lifestyle.

Two-strand twists are one of those styles.

They allow:

👉🏾 Access to your scalp and strands

👉🏾 A 2-n-1 style (two strand twists + twist out)

👉🏾 Low manipulation

👉🏾 Low tension

👉🏾 Style flexibility similar to loose braids

Pretty curls are a reflection of hydration, balance, and proper care.

Healthy hair responds better to styling and maintains curls longer.

If you haven’t prioritized hair health so far in 2026, an appointment is waiting for you 🤗 February books are open and I still have a few slots available before Valentine’s Day 💕

Heat damage occurs when hair is over processed, overheated, or styled without heat protectant.

Heat, when used correctly, is a tool, not the enemy.

Yes, it can cause damage, but when used professionally, it can support manageability, styling versatility, and confidence without compromising hair health.

Occasional professional heat styling does not automatically equal damage. Education matters.

It’s simple. Hair grows from the scalp, not the ends.

Trims prevent and eliminate breakage from split ends. So as your hair grows a head with minimal splits will help retain length over time versus split up the strand.

Skipping trims often results in thinning and uneven growth patterns.

Your trimming schedule should be a minimum of once a quarter or every 3 months. No excuses in 2026!

The more you know 😉

So let’s break this down…

It’s silk press season right? And your goal is to retain length & prevent damage while giving your hair a break from braids.

Services like smoothing treatments help reduce frizz, improve manageability, and make wearing your hair out more enjoyable without altering your natural texture.

This allows you to focus on hydration, elasticity, and scalp care.

I’ve seen a lot of information about smoothing treatments being bad for your hair, but the right one (an amino acid treatment NOT keratin) will strengthen the hair using protein based amino acids.

The hair is made up of proteins so it helps to restore broken or weakened bonds while smoothing the cuticle.

Coming in soon? Here’s how to prep before your appointment 🥰

Nothing complicated (I promise!)

Here are a few things to keep in mind:

🫧 Come with detangled hair(or select the add in option), unclean hair because a shampoo comes with the service 🤗

🚫 Avoid having braids, twists or an existing style in your hair unless I’ve been informed. This helps me to maintain my schedule for you and other clients.

🤳🏾 Bring in photos so we’re on the same page with your vision

🤞🏾 Be honest about your hair history. Everything from past color to damage helps me plan the best game plan for your hair

👚 Wear layers to avoid anything from getting wet, in the way, or stained

Doing this makes everything easier for both of us and helps me give you the best experience possible 🫶

Have any questions? Just text or DM me!

I’m always happy to talk before your appointment 💖
