Before I was a salon owner, I was a hairstylist. 🤍

And before the numbers, the goals, the responsibilities, and the never-ending to-do lists… there was simply a girl who fell in love with doing hair.

I fell in love with the art of color. The creativity behind formulating, the technique, the placement, and the little details that bring a client’s vision to life. I love the messiness of being a hairstylist, the transformations, and most importantly, watching someone leave my chair feeling confident in their own natural beauty.

What I didn’t necessarily fall in love with? Color orders, managing the front desk, crunching salon numbers, and trying to be an accountant while running a business. 😂

Somewhere between building a business, chasing big goals, keeping up with the industry, and trying to become the best version of ourselves, it’s easy to forget what made us fall in love with this career in the first place.

So here’s your reminder to slow down and enjoy the journey.

Keep learning. Keep creating. Keep chasing those big dreams. But don’t get so caught up in where you’re going that you forget why you started.

I’m proud of how far I’ve come, grateful for every lesson along the way, and genuinely excited for everything that’s still ahead.

Because at the end of the day, I’m still that girl who just loves doing hair. 🤍

I absolutely loved spending time at Stitch Salon for a blonding class!

Between being a hairstylist, salon owner, and juggling everything life throws my way, I don’t always make enough time to pour back into my own education.

But today reminded me why I love this industry so much! Learning new techniques, getting inspired, and surrounding myself with sweet, like-minded women who share the same passion for hair. 🫶🏼

No matter how long you’ve been behind the chair, there’s always room to grow!
