One of the most common questions I get from clients has nothing to do with makeup. It's usually:
"Do you know of any LGBTQ+ groups or places where I can meet people?"
Community can be just as important as confidence. So I put together a list of LGBTQ+ (trans-friendly) organizations, support groups, and community resources throughout Tampa Bay that I often share.

She waited 41 years for a proper shade match.
41 years of beauty shopping.

Black women are expected to lower their standards, bring their own products, or accept makeup that looks gray, orange, or completely disconnected from their actual skin tone.

You shouldn't have to teach the makeup artist how to do your makeup.
You shouldn't have to bring your own foundation.
And yet…so many Black women do.
Because too many have been shade matched wrong. Turned gray in photos.
Given undertones that don’t belong to them. Made to feel like an afterthought.
That isn’t insecurity. That’s learned self-protection.
And the beauty industry has earned that distrust.
But it shouldn’t be your normal.
In my chair, matching deeper skin tones is not an afterthought...it’s part of the artistry.
Because makeup should make you feel seen. Not corrected. Not muted. Not covered over.
Just elevated.
When complexion is understood, the whole experience changes. Calmer. Safer. More beautiful. More you.
