25-Hydroxy Vitamin D (D2 + D3) (Calcidiol)
Question: Do I have enough vitamin D stored in my body?
This is the main test for vitamin D status. It measures your total vitamin D stores by adding together:
* Vitamin D2 (from plant sources, fortified foods, and prescription ergocalciferol)
* Vitamin D3 (made in your skin from sunlight and found in animal foods and most over-the-counter supplements)

Question: How much of my vitamin D stores come from D3?
This test measures only the D3 portion of your vitamin D stores. It can help determine how well you’re absorbing or responding to vitamin D3 from sunlight, diet, or supplements.

1,25-Dihydroxy Vitamin D (Calcitriol)
Question: Is my body converting stored vitamin D into its active form?
This measures the active hormone that your body uses to regulate calcium and support healthy bones, muscles, and nerves. It is mainly ordered when a doctor is evaluating kidney function, parathyroid disorders, abnormal calcium levels, or other conditions that affect vitamin D metabolism.
