Get • In Nevada, they remain legal. Nineteen licensed houses, six counties — the only state in the country where the exchange is above ground, regulated, on the books. Legalization changes the architecture of the exchange. The courtesan sets her price, negotiates her terms. The power dynamic, even if imperfect, shifts.

This is often called the oldest profession — which means it has always existed and always will. For some women, the choice to enter this world is precisely that: a choice. One that comes with the rare ability to set your own terms, control your own schedule, determine what you will and won’t do and what it costs. That kind of agency is not nothing. For the women who claim it fully, it can be everything.

Paloma and Jupiter are two of those women. When I photographed them at Sheri’s Ranch for , I was most interested in the individual — how each of them moves through this world they’ve chosen, who they are inside it, what it asks of them and what they claim back. The friendship between them emerged from that place, built inside an experience that few people share and even fewer understand.

Get • Louisa and Bernie had already shared two decades of life before deciding to get married. Their story began more than twenty years earlier during a brief meeting in London. They didn’t get together right away, but years later, Bernie walked back into Louisa’s life and the timing finally felt right.

“The juggernaut of fate decided it all for us,” Louisa said. “We met over 20 years ago, very briefly, on a Friday afternoon in London, but it obviously wasn’t the right moment. In hindsight, we both had another decade of ridiculous mistakes to make before we were going to be ready to meet properly. Bernie then walked into my life again and it felt like too much of a coincidence to ignore. We’ve barely been out of each other’s sight since.”

The key to a happy healthy life is not to have an easy simple one.... it comes from not letting those hard things harden our hearts.🫀It's having the strength to choose love over fear, light after darkness, the having the willpower to choose things that are good for you in the long run and to not escape or run when things get real or hard. There is a certain mature grace you get from staying calm through chaos. I am the first one to stand up for those I love and respect. Not everything deserves your attention and energy though. Life gives us tiny earthquakes sometimes to wake us up. There is always hope 🎈for better days.🌻 ⚡️Use your energy wisely.

I think it's important to show a variety of makeup looks on women of all ages, skin tones, skin conditions, hairstyles, and makeup styles.

I've been doing Makeup for 23 years now, and some of the most gratifying makeovers are the ones I do on every day women; who don't normally or take the time to do their own make up or hair.

But on a special occasion or something like a wedding day, they've hired me to take care of the beauty part. You can see by the shine in their eyes afterward how worth it to have a luxury experience change you from the outside in. These types of Make overs make my soul so happy. 🥰😉
