This birthday was special, I just wanted an easy weekend free from all the responsibilities, no obligations, no busyness, no schedules to manage. And it was just that, easy, chill, good company and fun!

hosted the cutest Aprés-Ski Lodge Sismas Party and it was a time! The highlight of my weekend! I can always count on you to give us a good theme that we can get dressed for!

June 19, 1865 commemorates our freedom. What was the source of their hope to know that one day freedom would come even if they didn’t get to see it in their lifetime?

Even in our freedom so many of us are bound by so many things but there is still hope!

Ephesians 2:4-6 tells us God is rich in mercy, he loved us so much to bring us from dead - sinful lives to life with Christ, it’s by His grace we are saved. (Paraphrased)

We’re undeserving but God’s Grace & Mercy is everlasting!

So let me tell yall about this hair I’m wearing! Yesterday & .eliteapparel were apart of the 24th annual Juneteenth celebration representing black owned businesses in the city. I wanted show stopping, hair that’s the biggest talk in the room and makes a statement with no words but sparks conversation! What place more fitting than a cultural event like Juneteenth!

Hey y’all it’s me again! Many of you have asked what happened with the bill?! Our lawmakers decided not to touch it. This experience was eye opening to me. I realize how important it is for us to concern ourselves with matters of the state because they directly impact us and generations to come.

The beauty and barber industry in Nevada is in a critical state. We are not giving up here. There is still work to be done. Use your voice and influence to advocate change. When the time comes join us.

Last week, I had the honor of testifying before the Legislature in support of Bill 225—a piece of legislation that I believe could transform the future of our industry and open doors for countless professionals. I shared my personal journey, the challenges I’ve faced as a business owner, and how this bill has the power to not only support salon owners like me, but to uplift professionals and communities that have historically been underserved and burdened by limited access and overwhelming debt.

After nearly 20 years behind the chair, my mission is bigger than me. I’m focused on pouring my knowledge and experience into the next generation—equipping them to go further, grow faster, and thrive beyond anything I imagined for myself.

Change can be uncomfortable, but necessary. If you find yourself hesitant, I encourage you to reflect: if the laws had never evolved to become more inclusive, where would you be today? Even if you don’t agree with every part of this bill, don’t let the few points you question overshadow the many that can create real impact.

Let your voice be heard. Let your lawmakers know you support opportunity, access, and advancement for our industry. I’ve posted links in my highlights so you can take action today.

We’re discussing a new initiative that brings hands-on education into real salons & barbershops—bridging the gap for students and opening new opportunities for owners which can include funding opportunities for apprenticeship expansion.
