👀 I don't always stare at people like this.....but when I do, it's because they shook the pigment with the cap on. 😂

The little black cap is not supposed to stay on while you're shaking the bottle like you're mixing margaritas for happy hour. 🍸🤣

Lately we've been getting emails that go something like this:

💥 "Your pigments splattered everywhere!"
💥 "I hate your caps"
💥 "So much mess and waste"

Meanwhile me:
🤨 Did you shake it with the cap on?

Here's the science...

When you vigorously shake a closed bottle, you're whipping thousands of tiny air bubbles into the pigment. Those bubbles become trapped in the mixture and create pressure inside the bottle. The air pocket at the top of the bottle gets agitated, compressed, and temporarily pressurized.

Then you remove the cap...
And those tiny compressed bubbles suddenly expand and push pigment upward through the nozzle. 💥 BAM.

Now your gloves, your workstation, your shirt, your ring light, your client consultation forms, and possibly your emotional support dog are all wearing OMG and Li Pigments.

So let's all agree to do this instead:

✅ Remove the little black cap
✅ Place a gloved finger or clean paper towel gently over the tip
✅ Shake the bottle
✅ Replace the cap
✅ Open the bottle and continue living your best splatter-free, no mess, no waste best life 🩷

Trust me. It's a lot more fun when the pigment ends up in the pigment cap...not your your face. 😂
