Bacteria 🦠 in the pores wont exist if there is oxygen. When Follicles are blocked with dead skin cells and sebum, oxygen is not able to reach the bottom of the follicle causing bumpps on your face 😬⠀

The sebaceous gland secretes sebum and this can irritate & cause inflammation. Redness & inflammation occurs when a foreign object is detected in the skin (white blood cells move in to fight the infection) inflamed lesions caused by this are papules (shown in pic). ⠀

Some Tips: ⠀
-Avoid wearing makeup if you can while wearing a mask⠀
- Choose a salicylic cleanser as your wash⠀
- Benzoyl Peroxide as spot treatment only if you’re really struggling (our skin can get used to this and stop working)⠀
- Use Ceramides, Niacinamide, anything with hyaluronic acid to help maintain/repair skin barrier
