When I audit a salon business here are the 3 things I typically see that need to change asap to see immediate increased profitability. 👇

Let’s start off with OVER ORDERING retail & inventory. Retail isn’t dead. There is a huge profit margin available with your color, hair, and retail inventory, you just need the right system to not over order.💰 If you aren’t including product into the cost of your services than you are also loosing money!

Next is STYLIST GROWTH. Training stylists and assistants to do salon duties is one thing, but how does the salon help them grow? Are there clear expectations on how to advance within the salon? This is where most salon’s fall flat and fail because there is no growth within the business.📉

(Most of the time I don’t see salon owners tracking stylist growth so there is no real metric. I don’t believe in giving people raises because you feel like they deserve it.)

and lastly is SOCIAL MEDIA CONTENT & MARKETING. 🤳🏽Their stylists are posting here and there but the salon page is dead… This is a huge issue hurting your business right now. New client requests should be rolling in all the time, expanding opportunities for you and your team.
