End of a Season 💭

Warning: Long story.

Many of you may or may not know that a little over two years ago, I purchased a salon. Owning a salon had always been one of my dreams, and at the time, the opportunity truly felt like a God move that unexpectedly fell into my lap.

Over these past two years, we experienced every side of business ownership — the good, the bad, and the ugly. There were moments of excitement, growth, creativity, and vision, but there were also moments that tested us emotionally, mentally, financially, and spiritually. Entrepreneurship will humble you, stretch you, and teach you lessons no classroom ever could.

After a lot of prayer, deep conversations, and careful thought, we recently made the difficult decision to mutually terminate our lease and close the salon. This was not an easy decision by any means, but sometimes wisdom means recognizing when a season has come to an end.

While this chapter didn’t unfold the way I once imagined, I don’t look at it as failure. I look at it as growth, experience, preparation, and part of the story God is still writing for my life. I’ve learned lessons that will stay with me forever, and I truly believe they will prepare me for whatever comes next.

To everyone who supported us, prayed for us, worked alongside us, believed in us, or simply encouraged us along the way — thank you. Your love and support meant more than you know.

Maybe one day I’ll write a book about this journey. But for now, I’ll trust God with the pen and continue moving forward into the next chapter He has for me.

End of one season. Beginning of another. 🙏
