For this beautiful bride I used products that were perfect for her outdoor natural look.
To moisturize her skin I used an Oil Free Moisturizer by Neutrogina.
To perfect the texture and smoothness of her skin I used Fenty Beauty Retuch Primer.
And for a perfect longwear natural look I used Mac Face and Body Foundation and Prolonngwear concealer.
To finalize the look I set her foundation with Mac Invisible loose powder.

As part of my 60th birthday celebration I promised to share with you Items in my nutrition that have helped me maintain a plump, supple and hydrated skin.
As a liscence esthetician I take good care of my skin. However, I truly believe that what you eat, highly affects the health of your skin and how your skin ages.
Due to my Mexican heritage, I grew up eating avocados. Avocados are high in healthy fats. Fatty acids help keep your skin flexible, moist, supple and springy. Avocados are also a good source of vitamin E and vitamin C, which are antioxidants that help protect your skin from oxidative damage. Oxidative damage to the skin is caused by the sun and the environment, which can lead to early signs of aging.
In my heritage, avocados are always part of my daily meals. I love avocados with my breakfast. I cut a few slices and include them with my eggs. Or, I prepare a delicious guacamole to enjoy the whole day. I put guacamole in my tacos, tostadas, enchiladas, burritos and sopes. As a snack, guacamole is my favorite dip to use with chips. I also love a delicious hot sauce that I make with avocados. As you can see, I eat avocados all of the time. And, I believe that the vitamins, antioxidants and fatty acids in avocados, have contributed to slowing the aging process of my skin.

This year I turned 60 years old. I feel strong, healthy and full of energy. The collagen in my skin remains pretty firm, plump and hydrated. As an esthetician I take very good care of my skin. A friend of mind asked me to put whatever I was talking to keep me looking young into a bottle and sell it. Although, I can't do that, I decided to look into nutrition and figured out, based on my heritage, the foods that I am eating, that are helping me maintain my youthfulness, and share that with you.
Because of my Mexican heritage, I eat a lot of beans. Beans are rich in zinc and hyaluronic acid, which keeps your skin hydrated, plump and firm; preventing the development of wrinkles. Beans are also a great source of protein for both vegetarians and omnivores alike! Among the healthiest options are navy beans, garbanzo beans, red kidney beans and my favorite, black beans. Consider adding them to your salads, soups and casseroles to up your intake! Patricia Quintana is one of my favorite chefs that creates awesome bean soups! Have a wonderful New Year.
