Hello to everyone. My hip is healing nicely! I can’t believe it’s only been 8 weeks. Now I can stand up from sitting without help! But something crazy has happened this past Monday I had awful pain under my left rib cage a stabbing burning kind of pain. It lasted all day when my husband got home I said I think we need to go to the hospital! We go to Northside Gwinnett. After 12 hours ( they were very busy) they discovered I have kidney stone. It hasn’t moved as of today. I’m drinking water. Going to doctor. Maybe they can blast it? First time for this craziness!

Well I can walk most of the time now without a cane. A little slow first thing in the morning. Doing the PT helps so much!! But for some added fun somewhere Probably the grocery store I caught an upper respiratory bug. That is almost gone now. So then let’s add some pollen! I’ll be inside!

Hello everyone! I went to the ortho yesterday for my check up. Doctor said no more restrictions that I am doing great! Making him look good. Unfortunately the right side is hurting. We discussed when I can have the second one done. He said in May or anytime after that. I’ve decided to not work in between. Standing hurts the right side to much. I hope everyone has a wonderful blessed Easter! Thank you for the sweet prayers. ❤️

Hello everyone! This starts week 4. I am getting around with a cane now! Sometimes I don’t need it. Husband took me to Kroger wher I walked the whole store holding on to cart. No pain! Amazing to feel so much better! I hope everyone is doing well! Love and hugs from the hairdresser on hold!

I made it thru the first week! The first few days were rough. Day four there was a turn around and everyday after has felt better and better. PT is helping.
Walking is stronger! The wonderful reaction is there is no back pain!! So thankful to surgeon and staff!

Day 4 after surgery. Still in pain but everyday is getting better. The pain I had before is gone! It’s just getting thru this time. I want to thank everyone that has reached out to see how I was doing! The prayers and positive thoughts have been felt! Love and hugs to all! ❤️

We got home at 9:30. I came home and slept off anesthesia. Surgery went great. Alittle pain at first but meds are really helping now.

I am looking forward to tomorrow's hip surgery. I am required to be there at 5:45am. I appreciate the well-wishes and kind thoughts. I will provide an update tomorrow regarding my progress. Love and hugs to all

If you know me something crazy always happens to me. Well, this is no exception! Last week on Thursday I get a call from my Orthopedic office with a lady telling me my insurance hasn’t yet approved my surgery. WHAT? Your kidding? No mam. Ok now what? Well we need to reschedule you. Ok, can I reach out to my insurance to see if I can expedite? Sure. I call my care manager at my insurance. She tells me she is going to see what she can do. Friday come my care manager calls me at 12:45. Ms Davis I got it pushed thru! Your approved! Great I said! I call orthopedic office! They closed at 12:00 on Friday the message said. Well what’s done is done! I will be having surgery on Monday the 16th. God must have a reason. I will watch the Super Bowl and watch the Olympics and wait till the 16th. Another empowering step in my journey to wellness. The doctor has guided me to discontinue my anti-inflammatory meds. Well I didn’t realize the profound impact they had. The meds truly kept my pain manageable. Now it is quite challenging to walk. The doctor said I can continue with the tramadol. But it isn’t as effective without the anti-inflammatory meds. So I will be home until surgery. I was looking forward to seeing people one more time. I don’t feel safe driving. Love you all. ❤️
