I can't believe it's been 6 months since I've opened Massage Refuge! Thank you to all the clients from Milagro Midwestern Spa and Collective who have followed me over to my Leawood office. I'm starting to see a lot of Milagrans that I haven't seen in quite a while. (I will always be excited to see more of you, but if you happen to be looking for a particular therapist, feel free to reach out to me and I can tell you where to find them.)
Also, I am so grateful for all my new clients who have come to me from internet searches or referrals. I don't take your patronage lightly! It has a huge impact on my ability to help support my family. Thank you!

I would love to give you a massage this week at my office in Leawood. Book online at https://massagerefuge.as.me/
I’m trying out a new website feature - a digital waitlist! I’m hoping it makes things easier for clients to be alerted when coveted massage appointment times open up. Simply set the dates and times you’re interested in getting a massage, and if an already booked client cancels their appointment, you will instantly receive a text letting you know. NOTE: everyone on the waitlist for that time will be texted at the same time! So grab it ASAP. (You’re still welcome to text me to give me a heads up if you’re looking for something specific if this process doesn’t appeal to you)

It’s the season for gift cards! If you have a mother, teacher or graduate in your life, give them the gift of a massage! Gift certificates are available online! Please read the FAQ page on my website (massagerefuge.com) to learn the details. Text/email/DM with any questions. Thank you!

Use your lunch hour to get a massage! You can eat lunch on the table if you don’t mind sharing!
If you struggle with persistent neck pain, try monitoring yourself throughout the day. Are you clenching your jaw?
Every time you notice, relax it and also check your head position. Are you sticking your head forward for seemingly no reason?
Relax the neck by bringing it back, more in line with your spine, and drop your chin slightly.
For a lot of people, neck pain starts with tensing subconsciously, and using a cue like this to anchor your awareness can be a great first step to reducing muscle strain, fatigue, and pain.

Kansas City golfers: this will be my third season golfing. Since I am new to golf, I am painfully aware of how strenuous golf can be. This helps me a lot in my career; when I have a golfer on the table, I know exactly where all the restrictions are likely to be! I’d appreciate it if you follow my FB or instagram page & keep me in mind next time you notice how sore you are, or how uncomfortable it is to swing a club. I am conveniently located right off the 435 at College & Roe in Leawood, KS!
If massage isn’t your thing, send your spouse next time they start complaining how about how much money you’re spending on golf! 😉 Thank you!
This is a great way to look at the benefits of massage a little differently! It’s not just about relaxing tight muscles!
