🛑Tight hair styles:::Constantly wearing tight ponytails or hairstyles can cause stress on your hair & scalp leading to excess thinning around your hairline. Opt for looser styles that don’t cause as much tension.
🛑Parabens, Phthalates & Formaldehyde:::Over time, these toxic ingredients can accumulate in the body, potentially disrupting hormone function & increasing the risk of reproductive issues & certain cancers.
🛑Synthetic Fragrance:::Can disrupt hormones, leading to imbalances that affect reproductive health and increase the risk of infertility & certain cancers. They may also trigger allergic reactions, skin sensitivities, & respiratory issues, posing long-term health risks with prolonged exposure.
🛑Sulfates:::Strip the hair and scalp of natural oils, disrupting pH balance & protective barriers. This can lead to dryness, irritation, & long-term hair damage, while worsening scalp conditions like itchiness & dandruff.
🛑Ultra Processed Foods:::Ultra-processed foods are high in unhealthy fats, sugars, & additives that offer little nutrition. Regularly eating them can cause inflammation, hormone imbalances, & nutrient deficiencies, weakening hair & harming overall health.
🛑Propylene Glycol or Butylene Glycol:::Often used in hair products as solvents and humectants, but they can be harmful over time. These ingredients can strip the hair and scalp of natural moisture, leading to dryness, irritation, & a weakened hair shaft. In some cases, they may also cause allergic reactions or sensitivities, especially for those with sensitive skin or scalp conditions. Loving this after!! But I want to dig into this before. When you have naturally dark hair, you only come every 3-4 months, AND you don’t do any toners in between your appointments…your hair is going to get brassy. This is life my friends. That being said, I definitely achieved a lighter tone this last session, and while I’m sure she’ll have some brass when I see her next I don’t think it will be as brassy as the session before. I prefer not to push the boundaries of healthy hair and take things in stages. I have gradually taken her lighter making sure her hair stays happy & healthy along the way.
