It’s Joker: Folie à Deux week! Did you see the makeup looks I did for B&B Theatres? I had a lot of fun with these. Make sure you are following them to see all the great content we filmed for this!

I feel like if you were to look up “trust the process” in the dictionary, it would say “see Darth Maul makeup”.

So here’s a little step by step of what this process looks like for me. I didn’t think to do this until after I had started but scroll through the photos to read the captions explaining the whole thing.

Since I keep my hood up all day, I skip the bald cap. Instead, I braid my hair in a single braid down the center that I leave tucked into my shirt. I also wear a mesh wig cap to keep it all in place and I top it off with a black headband. Do this first and put on any clothing from your costume that goes over the head. This will save you from the stress of trying not to ruin it when you get dressed after the makeup.

If you are going the bald cap and horns route, apply the bald cap first! You can use the same products I mention in the captions on the bald cap. For the horns, make them from scratch or buy a kit on Etsy.

Products needed:
-Black and red paint (Mehron Paradise AQ recommended)
-Black eye pencil
-Black and red eyeshadow
-Black and red liquid lipstick
-Face/Eye primer
-Elmers purple glue stick, setting powder and color corrector for brows.
-Horns
-Mehron Tooth FX in black
-Setting Spray (Mehron Barrier Spray recommended)

I’m not going to say how much it cost to meet him but I will say it was worth every penny. A photo with the emperor himself while cosplaying Darth Maul is priceless to me. Best weekend ever!

Couldn’t decide on which version I wanted to go for so I combined them. Intentionally made his mask bigger so I could have room for some green eye makeup. ❔💚🖤

This month, I will be doing 🎥 movie/tv 📺 characters that I’ve never done before. And for some extra fun, this month has a theme within the theme. I’m not going to say what it is. Part of the fun will be seeing who can figure it out first. 😉
