Hair extensions should be comfortable I will absolutely die on that hill

They're not supposed to hurt, itch, feel tight, none of it. If they do, it's the stylist's job to FIX it.

Who else was told it was normal for extensions to hurt?

I almost talked myself out of extensions before I even started.

For years “just the cut and color girl” felt safer. Extensions were for someone more talented, more ready, more something. I made every excuse. Too expensive, too hard to build the clientele, not confident enough in my skills even after I finally took the leap.

What changed was watching my mentors, my friends, my family, even my clients believe in me harder than I believed in myself. At some point it felt disrespectful not to match their energy.

If you’ve got a dream you keep shrinking away from this is your sign to knock it off. Life’s too short to get in your own way. 🤍

What’s something you’re still talking yourself out of, even though everyone around you already sees it?

Stoppppp putting foils in your clients face!

Around the face can be a tricky place to foil especially when trying to keep your client comfy. Next time you foil a faceframe, try flipping it towards the back of their head. It'll feel weird at first but once you get it you'll never go back.

Your clients will notice the difference!
