What is builder gel?? For those of you seeing our posts and wondering about the details of builder gel and if it might be a great option for you, here's our promised detailed post!

Notes from Alexys:

Builder gel is a durable gel (that’s thicker than normal shellac) that is applied to your natural nails. It is strong enough to help your natural nails grow out!
Many of my clients will start with GelX and as their nails grow to the perfect length, then we will switch to a builder so they can wear their natural nails as long as they like! Or, you can start with your natural length with a builder set and work from there! It is a great option for anyone wanting to stay on a natural course for their nails! The best part… not only can you get your nails as long and strong as extensions, you can also fill your builder gel instead of requiring a new set each appointment! How easy is that?!

Here are some benefits of builder gel:

Builder gel is stronger than regular gel polish.
It's more flexible than acrylic, so it's less likely to break.
It can protect nails from biting, household chores, and typing.
It can be used to repair, strengthen, and grow natural nails.

As I’ve slowly introduced my clients to builder gel more and more of them love it and will never switch back to a normal shellac manicure or extension service!!
