Needless to say, I felt incredibly lucky when she reached out to see if I had space available to rent! Her drive, passion, and determination felt so familiar to me—I know firsthand what it’s like to start over and rebuild a clientele in a new city. It’s no small task, but Georgie has embraced the challenge and is growing her business more every single day.

She is talented, professional, hardworking, and such an inspiration to have in the salon. And beyond all of that—she’s just an all-around great time to be around! 💇‍♀️✨

Seven years ago, these three talented women took a leap of faith and came to work with me. They left the comfort of an established salon and chose to believe in a vision, in me, and in what we could build together. Since then, we’ve faced more challenges than any of us could have imagined—the elevator 😵‍💫 (Thank GOD we have a new one and a new building owner who truly cares), parking, shutdowns during COVID, and so many unexpected setbacks along the way. Not to menion their own life challengs and changes. Through every obstacle, they stayed.

Their loyalty, dedication, and strength have meant more to me than words can fully express. They have shown up not only for this business, but for their clients and for their families with grace and professionalism every step of the way.

They are honest, hardworking, talented, and truly good people. The kind of people who make coming to work better every day. The kind of people who care deeply and give their best in all they do.

✨ A Stroll Down Memory Lane ✨

Standing proudly at 209 N. Main Street in downtown Lima since 1901, this beautiful historic landmark has long been a symbol of our city’s growth and character. Known as Lima’s first skyscraper, it reaches an impressive 9 stories high—quite the achievement for its time!

If you look closely at the older photo, you’ll spot a sign for Gordon’s Beauty Shop in one of the large windows. Years later, Gordon’s relocated to Wayne Street, where my mother, Barbara (Roush) Curtis, began her own journey in the beauty industry.

Now, more than 60 years later, it feels especially meaningful that Level IV Salon Suites proudly occupies the entire 4th floor of this incredible building.

We are honored to be part of the rich history of downtown Lima and grateful to have called this space home for the past 10 years. Thank you to our loyal clients, friends, and community for supporting us along the way.

Here’s to preserving history, celebrating beauty, and looking forward to the next chapter.
