Elle makes tattoos

I made these slides last week, and wasn’t even sure I wanted to post this. More and more (almost every) people are designing their own tattoo concepts with ai and bringing them to me, they think they’re using it to be able to put their ideas in a media they think I’ll understand- but to me it actually feels like micromanaging, distrust, & weird expectations on how tattoos should look in skin - it’s kindof really offensive. I am not an artist you choose to work with if you want just a service transaction- “pick it & stick it” is not my vibe it’s pretty soul sucking tbh. I’ve seen countless artists be accused of ai bc their work is too perfect, others who’ve used it but double down insisting they didn’t, consumers demanding to be more involved in the process to prove ai isn’t being used stressing the artists who aren’t used to performing & recording their process and so many artist’s work being stolen, altered and printed for pennies to make a profit off someone else’s talent, all of this is just sickening to me at this point. The joy of making art and having art is being destroyed by the convenience of an app that people are addicted to using to do their thinking for them.

I love tattooing flowers so much and sometimes I get asked to do them in color! We did just a bit of muted tones on Katie’s arm and I’m loving how her sleeve is coming along 🥰 outside of the studio I’ve been slowly getting my flowers potted on my patio, anyone else do annuals? I got black petunias this year and I love them 😍
