I read this on another persons post and thought I would share. This is a common mistake made with hooded eyes. Notice how she used a light or highlight color up over the crease and onto the hooded part of the eye. A light color draws attention to the hood. When she uses a darker color in that area, it recedes the area and actually enhances the eye. Dark recedes, light brings out. With this rule you can visually shape the eye.
