Five years ago on this day, April 30, 2021, I began my journey as a beekeeper and was able to install my first package of bees into my beehive! Reflecting on this day, I remember feeling absolutely ecstatic over the fact that I had the privilege to do something as cool as becoming a beekeeper; however, I was also scared, both of the uncertain future and getting stung, as I wasn't sure how my journey as a beekeeper would look.
Fast forward five years, specifically on April 12, 2026, I was able to install yet another package of bees into my beehive. Getting to experience the thrill of reliving this process was a feeling well worth the wait, and I am looking forward to what the future holds for my journey as a beekeeper. Stay tuned for the future of Hive & Honey, as I have many new ideas that I cannot wait to share with you all!

Hello Everyone!!
I have some exciting news to share with you all related to what I have in store for Hive & Honey. I took a break over the Summer to determine what products I can bring to you all, as well as how I would like to continue my approach to entrepreneurship. During this break, I took numerous trips to check on the health and stability of my hive, as well as taking mental notes on how I can further improve and grow within my business.
As some of you may know I, unfortunately, wasn’t able to harvest any honey last year due to numerous complications related to the health and stability of my hive. With that, I wanted to focus on these factors of my hive throughout my Summer break to ensure I would have a healthy and stable hive moving forward.
With that, I am excited to share that I will have honey available for purchase within the month of October! This is truly an exciting announcement to share with you all, and I cannot wait to bring raw, locally, and ethically sourced honey to my customers. On top of that, I will also be restocking my beeswax chapsticks, so keep an eye out for them!
I truly appreciate your patience and support, and am forever grateful for you all. Keep an eye out in the coming weeks for these products. You don’t want to miss them!! Feel free to personally message me if you have any questions!
Thank You

🌷Spring is Officially Here!🌷
When most people think of Spring, they think of renewal, longer days, warmer weather, and blossoming flowers, however, did you ever realize that this is the beginning of a work season and lifelong effort for our pollinators? That's right! Pollinators throughout our lovely state are beginning to work around the clock to keep our plants pollinated!
What is pollination, you may ask? Well, pollination is the process where pollen is transferred from the male part (anther) of a flower to the female part (stigma), enabling fertilization and the production of seeds. Essentially, without pollinators, we wouldn't have any plants!
Why is this important? Bees are Nebraska's #1 pollinator, which is why it is so important to educate people on their significance in keeping our agricultural state running! So next time you see a patch of wildflowers on the roadside or your garden looks plentiful, take the time to thank your local pollinators as none of this would be possible without them!
Stay tuned for the following week, as I will be officially posting my Homemade Beeswax Chapsticks to my Page! I am super excited to provide these products to you all, and thank you for following this exciting journey with me!
