We are thrilled to welcome you to Joanne’s Hair Design as we re-open our doors due to Covid-19 while complying by CDC guidelines. We have missed you!

Thank you to all of our clients for their patience and continuous support. As always, the health and wellness of our clients and employees is a top priority for us and we are focused on quickly adapting to new ways of providing you with excellent service.

This includes:

- Face Mask is MANDATORY for both clients and employees upon entering the salon

- Please wait in your vehicle until your stylist advises you to enter the salon

o Upon arrival, please call us at 847-568-1200 and wait outside until you are advised to enter

o At this time, we are unable to accommodate additional guests or family members with you unless they have a scheduled appointment at that time

- Temperature checked with contactless thermometer upon entering the salon for both clients and employees

o If temperature is above 100.4°F we will need to reschedule your appointment

- Please refrain from bringing purses or personal belongings into salon

- Sanitize hands upon entering the salon from Front Door only

- Maintain proper distancing between others throughout the salon

- Temporarily suspended all food and beverages previously offered to clients (Feel free to bring your own beverage with a lid)

- By Appointment Only, as we are not accepting Walk-In clients at this time

Job Duties:

• Provide exceptional customer service to everyone in the salon at all times
• Maintain composure and professional in the salon at all times
• Build key relationships with clients and provide a consultative approach
• Responsible for meeting state health and safety standards, keeping their work areas clean, and sterilizing equipment
• Book customer’s appointments with efficient time allocated for each appointment
• Provide consultation and advice to customers if/when required services are needed
• Provide the following Hair Services: Haircut, Color, Highlights/Lowlights, Hair Styling, Up-Do's, Shampooing, Deep Conditioning, Keratin Treatment, Wigs, Perms, Blowout
• Provide the following Professional Hair Techniques: Brazilian Blowout, Balayage, Ombre, Sombre, Hair Painting, Color Melting, Color Correction, Babylights
• Cross-sell luxury haircare products as well as nail services and waxing

Skills and Qualifications:

• Licensed cosmetologist from state-approved cosmetology program; Active in continuing education
o If currently enrolled in cosmetology program, may work as Apprentice under licensed cosmetologist
• Strong communication, customer service, and time management skills; creativity and dexterity
• Own clientele a plus, not required
• Own styling tools required – combs, brushes, blow dryer, curling irons, scissors, clippers, straightener, etc.
