Diaper cream may just take the cake for the best product I make. I wish you could see the before and afters, but this stuff has gotten rid of some nasty diaper rashes around our house. My kids get the worst diaper rashes when they teethe and constantly being in and around a pool during the summer, is a wet recipe for more irritation. Rub some of this on and between the healing tallow, soothing coconut oil and the moisture blocking non-nano zinc, it quickly disappears. The best part: I’m not worried about nasty ingredients touching my kids’ most sensitive areas.

Just like Dr. Cure’s sunscreen, the active ingredient in the diaper cream is non-nano zinc. The particles are too large to pe*****te the skin and get into your child’s bloodstream, and still effectively protects the area from moisture.

Commercial diaper cream also contains petrolatum, a byproduct of crude oil. Crude oil is a complex mixture of hundreds to thousands of compounds. Petrolatum may be contaminated with polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs). Studies suggest that exposure to PAHs, including skin contact over time, is associated with cancer. The European Union classifies petrolatum as a carcinogen and restricts its use in cosmetics. In the US, however, it’s fine to put it on your baby’s most sensitive areas 🤔.

With the simple ingredients of organic grass-fed beef tallow, non-nano zinc oxide, organic coconut oil, organic olive oil and beeswax, you can feel good about what you're putting on your baby's skin. My grandma also swears it gets rid of the bruises on her arms 😉.

Let’s talk sunscreen! Summer may be winding down but it’s not over yet! Yes, we need to be outside, without sunscreen, for adequate vitamin D production. But, if you're outside in the prime hours of heat, sunscreen is a necessity.

Many conventional sunscreens have recently been recalled for containing cancer causing chemicals. Not only that but, they also contain known hormone disrupters, which contribute to a slew of other issues. I know that I wouldn't want to put that on my own skin, much less my children's.

When choosing a sunscreen, it's essential to find one that uses non-nano zinc oxide as its active ingredient. This is important because the zinc particles are too big pe*****te your skin to enter the bloodstream. Zinc oxide is the best of the mineral sunscreen active ingredients, because it is truly a broad-spectrum blocker. That means it protects you and your family from both UVA and UVB rays. Zinc oxide sits on top of your skin (rather than soaking in, like chemical sunscreens do) and protects you by scattering, absorbing, and reflecting the sun’s rays.

Dr Cure's sunscreen combines the sun protecting power of non-nano zinc oxide with the moisturizing power of organic beef tallow to create a water resistant barrier for your skin.

It conveniently comes in a tub and a stick for easier application. The sticks are perfect to throw in your hiking or ski bag this fall and winter. My kids love to put it on their faces, all by themselves. It's also great for all those schools that require sunscreen be applied to your little one before they go outside.

The OG that started it all. Tallow body butter was the first product I began making, and is still the most frequently used in our household. We literally use it for everything: eczema, cradle cap, sunburns, you name it. I personally have noticed a decrease in fine lines and wrinkles on my face. My skin looks and feels more healthy and vibrant.

These days, our kids spend a lot of time in the pool. We lather them up with this after bath, and it protects their skin from the damaging effects of chlorine.

In the winter, we still lather them up almost nightly to hydrate their skin amid the dry Colorado air. It's intensely moisturizing, you'll notice it immediately after applying it to your skin, especially compared to the typical plant-based moisturizers.

Since tallow so closely resembles the makeup of our skin, it absorbs easily and our skin can actually breathe through it. An added bonus, the natural antimicrobial properties in tallow help to prevent acne and breakouts. You don't need much, a little goes a long way!
