Are you guys going out for date nights or still staying at home? I'm dying to get out and go somewhere but even if date night consists of living room board games and pizza, it's still fun to curl that hair and put on a little extra makeup. Anything to feel remotely normal. And if you can get those highlights freshened up, even better!

I'm not quite sure when my love affair with subtle brunette highlights began. I can tell you it wasn't 10 years ago, when all my brunettes had harsh yellow stripes (and to those clients, you have my most sincere apologies 😂😭.) But somehow over the years, I can honestly say this is where I've felt myself growing the most. Brunettes are a WHOLE different ballgame than blondes when it comes to placement and toning. Too many, too close together and you lose your original color. Too ashy and it looks grey. Too warm and it looks orange. It is such a perfect balance of subtle placement and that glowy finish.

It's no surprise I love my brides. One of the best parts of my job is getting a bride ready for the big day and seeing her GLOW. I love a gorgeous Haircolor, but I'll be honest, it's the STYLING that's really my jam. Curling, teasing, braiding... Give it ALL to me. Be honest, if you had the most gorgeous color in the world but left the salon with dripping wet hair, how disappointed would you be!?! We all do it. We stretch out that hair washing as long as possible with the help of our new best friend, dry shampoo. It's the one good thing about this dry weather, that we seem to get an extra day or two before feeling like a grease-ball. But friend, how are those ends looking 😬?
