Ask you esthetician — Wild Bird Beauty Since I know everyone can’t or won’t come to Wild Bird Beauty, I thought I’d offer some cheat questions to ask your esthetician so you can make the most of your facial. We all know what it’s like to have your esthetician ask you 101 questions, but now let’s turn the tables!

LED Therapy stands for Light Emitting Diode. Light therapy is a non-invasive treatment that enters the skin's layers to improve the skin. This treatment uses 3 different lights: Red to stimulate collagen and trigger cell growth. Blue is most used to treat acne. And the combination of both blue and red helps to calm and heal the skin. The machine that I use at Wild Bird is the Celluma and Dr Dennis Gross. I call it my little time machine. It reduces fine lines and other signs of aging. I recommend it to most clients. No restrictions.

Enzymes are a great way to gently exfoliate away the dead skin. There are different types of enzymes that are commonly used like lactic acid and salicylic acid. The treatment is great at stimulating collagen growth and creating fresh, healthy skin. I particularly love the Yuzu Peel from that I offer, which uses salicylic acid as the active ingredient. It smells great too - a lemonade on a warm day!! Peels are great for all types of skin of all ages, and those who are too sensitive for microderm. It’s very effective and helps with congestion, breakouts, pigmentation and etc. For women during pregnancy I recommend the cherry peel, it provides powerful antioxidants to strengthen skin elasticity.

Dermaplaning is a manual exfoliation procedure where I use a medical-grade scalpel to gently remove dead skin and especially peach fuzz. It mitigates imperfections and acne scars. I recommend to anyone who wants to remove peach fuzz without having to wax, which can be painful, break capillaries, and make your skin sensitive. Also the hair does NOT grow back thicker. 
Not recommended for people with an event in 2 days or less.
