El Roger Q 🎩 the man behind the name…

The ‘Q’ in Dapper Q’s isn’t just a letter — it’s family.
Rogelio was painting houses in California when people struggled to say his name. His boss asked for his last name — Ferrer — but with its double R’s and his inability to roll them, he mentioned his mom’s last name, Quiroz. From that moment, he was known as ‘Roger Q.’ The nickname followed him for over 20 years of painting houses, until in 2015 he decided to switch careers and become a barber — a craft he has been dedicated to ever since.

His daughter Mariana followed in his footsteps and vision of opening a barbershop, becoming a barber herself. Today, Dapper Q’s carries a family name and story, a reminder that family is at the heart of everything we do.
