Dear Body,
sorry.
I'm sorry dismissed us for so many years.
I'm sorry that we had to go through so much alone.
I'm sorry that I didn't fight enough for answers when the weight started piling on with no explanation.
I'm sorry for all the times I gave up and just accepted that this is the body I'm supposed to be in.
But I also thank you.
Thank you for allowing me the strength to work hard.
Thank you for carrying me through all the hard times in the last few years.
Thank you for not letting me give up.

If you can lose 1 pound, you can lose 100.
If you can take one step, you can walk a marathon.
If you can skip the late night snacking one night, you can do it night.
So often we look at big picture and ignore the tiny daily steps it takes to move the needle...and then we get frustrated when we don't lose 50 pounds over night.
Baby steps! Stop focusing on the big goal and start focusing on the smaller goals that are going get you there.
Before you know it, what started out feeling like it would take an eternity to accomplish, will happen much faster than you think.

I was definitely honest with myself, more so than ever before - I dug deep on what was habit and what was real need...but giving myself the space and grace to learn what fueled me, being kind to myself knowing it would be a process over time and not a quick fix made all the difference!
What's one thing you have realized is maybe habit and not a "need"? Mine was definitely wine and pasta... I still love them here there but I definitely don't NEED them as often as I was having them back then!
