Do you ever have clients return to you with beads that are slipping? This could be why!
Making sure you apply pressure when clamping your beads down into place is key to locking them in.
I notice that if someone is too light handed when using their pliers, it can lead to the beads slipping, sometimes almost immediately, or after washing/styling.
To ensure you avoid this happening, I recommend clamping down three times (middle, top, bottom) until you see the silicone exposed either end of the bead.
Plier wise, I opt for a smooth plier that doesn’t chip the bead prematurely, the one I always use is from - use my code ‘SAMHYNES10’ for a discount ❤️
Re-Cap from last weekends class, where a new breed of k-tip artists were created 🥹✨
Thank you to for being the most incredible host, I cannot wait to come to Northern California again soon, it was an absolute pleasure.
And special thank you to and for hooking up my students with the best swag and my favorite essentials!
MY NEXT CLASS: Genius Weft Hidden Row, Woodland Hills CA 📍
I have a bone to pick with tape in extensions…and it’s not the method itself, it’s the adhesive.
Someone please tell me why sticky, gloopy, gooey tape tabs still exist? Because I don’t understandddd.
I have my very select tried and true tape tabs and tape removers that I use on a daily and they slide out of the hair like butter. They don’t take ANY of the natural hair with it, or leave mounds of adhesive behind. YET they still give great hold and durability.
I really don’t think tape-ins are a ‘bad’ method, I still have a handful of clients that love them, and it’s all down to the tape itself. Bad tape=soul crushing removal.
