The coconut is also a symbol of resilience. Even in conditions where there’s very little nourishment and even less nurturance, it flourishes growing taller than most of the plants around it.

Just like our experiences, our scars remind us that indeed we have survived our deepest wounds. That in itself is an accomplishment. And also, they are a reminder that resilience is our humanity. What hurt us in the past has actually made us better prepared to face the present.
