Unsweetened cocoa powder – ½ cup (50 g)
Baking powder – 1½ teaspoons
Baking soda – ½ teaspoon
Salt – ¼ teaspoon
Unsalted butter (soft) – ½ cup (113 g)
Vegetable oil – ¼ cup (60 ml)
Granulated sugar – 1 cup (200 g)
Brown sugar – ¼ cup (50 g)
Eggs – 2 large
Vanilla extract – 2 teaspoons
Milk or buttermilk – ¾ cup (180 ml)
Hot water or hot coffee – ½ cup (120 ml)
For the chocolate ganache
Dark chocolate (chopped or chips) – 1 cup (180 g)
Whipping cream – ½ cup (120 ml)
Topping (optional)
Chocolate chunks or chocolate chips
Instructions
Preheat oven to 170°C (340°F). Line or grease a loaf pan.
Sift flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda, and salt together and set aside.
Cream butter, oil, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until smooth and fluffy. Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Stir in vanilla extract.
Add the dry ingredients in batches, alternating with milk, mixing gently until just combined. Pour in hot water or coffee and mix until smooth. The batter will be slightly runny.
Pour batter into prepared pan and bake until a skewer inserted in the center comes out clean. Allow cake to cool completely.
Heat cream until just steaming, then pour over chopped chocolate. Let sit briefly, then stir until smooth and glossy.
Pour ganache over cooled loaf and sprinkle with chocolate chunks if desired. Allow ganache to set before slicing.

So here’s the homemade Frosty recipe I used. It’s easy and delicious and honesty tastes exactly like Wendy’s Frosty. From what I read you need to use these exact ingredients for it to taste right.
Homemade Chocolate Frosty (makes 2 quarts)
4 cups chocolate milk (not low fat)
3/4 cup (1/2 a can) sweetened condensed milk
Half an 8oz container regular Cool Whip
Whisk or blend together until smooth. Pour in a large freezer safe container or loaf pan, and stir every 30 minutes until it begins to freeze and set (2-3 hours). You can also use an ice cream maker set for about 30 minutes. Enjoy
