LeeyaStudio
Hair Specialist in Sociology. A degree that goes hand-in-hand with understanding her client’s needs. “Hair is the exterior.
Leeya completed cosmetology school at the same time she graduated high school and continued working as a hair stylist while attending USCB where she received her B.A. If you know where a person is coming from and what inspires them, you can create something on the outside that reflects who they are on the inside,” says Leeya. A hair session with Leeya is not just about having the best hair in L.A.
Fresh batch of Essence headed to Scalp Sanctuary. 🤍
They were the very first head spa to believe in MÉLA & Co. and carry my products, and that means a lot to me. I love that they value mindful self care, beautiful rituals, and botanical ingredients that support the whole person, not just the hair.
Every bottle is still made by hand, and this batch was made with so much gratitude.
If you’ve been thinking about treating yourself to a head spa experience, go visit Scalp Sanctuary. They truly care about helping you feel good from the inside out.
Sending a little kiss into the universe for the people who believed in me early on. 💋✨
Thank you to everyone who came out, supported, shared, promoted, cheered us on, and stood by our side throughout this journey.
Seeing my dad’s work on the walls, surrounded by community, family, and love, was something I’ll never forget.
Never give up. Never forget that it’s never too late to pursue your passion, share your gifts, or start again.
Art heals. Art connects. Art gives us a voice when words fall short.
One of the walls was dedicated to resilient women whose strength continues to inspire us. Let’s continue to honor one another, support one another, and lead with compassion.
May we all keep creating, keep believing, and keep helping each other shine.
With gratitude,
Leeya & Sarkis
This moment feels surreal.
If you know me, then you know I’ve spent most of my life trying to get my dad’s art seen. An immigrant, an aircraft draftsman in Iran, a taxi driver for decades in America, and an artist whose talent was often overlooked because life got in the way.
Watching him at 82 years old with tears in his eyes as he saw himself on Fox 11 for the very first time is something I’ll never forget.
From community festivals, to Art Expo New York, to Art Basel Miami, and now here. This journey is proof that it’s never too late, and that you should never give up on your dreams.
Art connects us. Art heals. Art tells stories that words sometimes can’t.
This year’s exhibit even included a wall dedicated to resilient women—the ones who keep going no matter what. Amanda, thank you for helping share his story and for being one of those women yourself.
Most of all, thank you, Dad, for never giving up. And maybe for once, thank you to myself for not giving up on him either. ❤️
ItsNeverTooLate
Today was one of those moments I’ll never forget.
Watching my 82-year-old father share his story on FOX 11 brought tears to all of our eyes. Seeing my mom so proud, my kids by my side, and my dad being recognized for the beautiful art he’s created later in life reminded me of something important: it’s never too late.
A huge thank you to Amanda Salas for telling my father’s story with so much heart. Amanda shared that her own father made many sacrifices and was a screenwriter, and I think that’s why she understood just how meaningful this moment was. She may never fully know what this segment meant to our family, but it meant everything.
This is what community is. This is what happens when people take the time to care, to listen, and to share someone else’s story.
No matter what you’re going through, don’t give up. There is always light ahead. My father didn’t even start painting with acrylics until the pandemic, and now, at 82, he’s inspiring people through his art.
Art is magical. Dreams don’t have an expiration date.
Thank you, Amanda. Thank you, FOX 11. And thank you to everyone who has supported my father’s journey. ❤️

A little surreal today.
Watching my mom unwrap the originals and my dad, at 82 years old, still hanging his own artwork.
A full-circle moment. Colorful Life is coming together.
No fancy lab.
Just my apothecary bar, my babies surrounding me, and years of falling in love with plants.
This Anna apple infusion sat in organic olive oil for over a year. Hand harvested locally by Janet — farmer, herbalist, mama, and the incredible woman behind so many of the botanicals and herbs I work with.
The way she grows, dehydrates, composts, and respects these plants is the reason this infusion strained so beautifully today.
Soil to skin.
Slow beauty.
Real hands. Real plants. Real intention.
Mama fixing my hair…
with what I created.
It just hits different. 🤍
