I had limited colors but here’s the formula:
lifted her to a level 7, some dark areas only lifted to a level 6
used light master pre bonded lightener
&
shades
roots 4N + 8GI
mids 4N + 8GI + 9GI
ends 8GI + 9GI + splash 4N

did what I could with what we had but results still looked amazing✨

Riley started her hair journey at school. I was fortunate enough to help one of my friends do her highlights and she was able get her 2nd appointment with me. On her last appointment (which is what you see grown out/faded in the before photo), I did a balayage technique on the bottom of her hair, and foils at the top. We did a full head🌞
This time around, I did something similar to that of last appointment’s technique, but we kept it at a half highlight, still adding brightness throughout the entirety of her beautiful locks. We did a treatment on her and I finished off with a frizz treatment from 🫶🏼
She has black box dye underneath it all, so a couple more sessions and she’ll be as blonde as she wants. She’s been super consistent with getting her highlights done every 8 weeks so I’m very excited to see this transform over the next couple visits!

Some hair magic on this beauty💖 w/

A much needed color correction, she wanted to be one solid color all over. She had been bleaching and coloring her hair (at home) over the course of some time and as it happens with a lot of us, botched it the last round. She came to us looking for help to make her one solid shade of pink, and we went back and forth on the specific shade.

Clients are going to come to you with inspo photos and ideas and it’s up to you to collaborate with them on what’s going to look best on them, and what they’ll leave the chair happiest with. My beautiful client showed me a baby pink, a dark purple, and then a hot pink. All 3 very different colors, but ultimately she wanted it to fade into a cute shade of pink. Given all the colors, I cocktailed a few colors and showed her the swatch before applying the color. Keep in mind, I reminded her that I was showing her the swatch on a white canvas, and it might look slightly different on her given the level she lifted to. We proceeded with the color and you GUYS, I did not think it was going to come out this vibrant.

I cocktailed:
- Cupid
- a dash of Fireball
- a dot of Nightfall
and it came together so beautifully. I added a tad more blue to try and cancel out that orange and I think it helped immensely. LOOK AT THAT VIBRANCY😍 also not lifting her to a complete 9 helped with that insane richness⚡️

Results of this partial highlight I did yesterday on Veronica🌾

We did a Mohawk section with diagonal backs on the sides, and formulated a cute little shades EQ - 9GB & 9V for her. We didn’t have any 9V, so I ended up using 9GI + 10P (4:3) for her beautiful bright blonde. She’s a natural level 6 so lifts easily and super bright. Loved the way the toner came out💕

She started with a partial that we turn to an all over natural red similar to Emma Stone. For that, we used permanent at her root as instructed by my teacher, and demi throughout her lighter pieces.

➡️She then wanted a money piece to play with and natural all over (I’ll get better at writing down my formulas, promise😅)
We used for her pink using their Semi Permanent line🔥

➡️This time around she wanted natural all over for a low maintenance look, as she’ll be out of the country for the next few months.

➡️I went in and filled her money piece with my favorite, Shades EQ 6AA + 7CC equal parts

Toned her hair all over with 5/0, leaving the ends out for the last 10-15 minutes then running the color through. It wasn’t enough to punch out the warmth so I glossed her with Shades AGAIN, using 4NA for a really ashy base. I used ColorTouch originally for its lasting power through porous hair, and glossed with redken for an extra tone balance and shine✨

Overall, I’m very happy with the results and am very confident she’ll be loving her hair still in the next couple months🫶🏻

🧡 She has a partial highlight throughout so we’ve just been depositing with demi-permanent glosses onto her hair for a light reflecting warm copper🌇

➡️Prior to this, we did a gloss treatment with
Shinefinity Glaze using
6/43 + 7/34 (eyeballing the measurements as we didn’t have a scale)
➡️it came out more on the red side from the 6/43, but I knew it would wash out over time

➡️This appointment, we brought up her previous money piece (done by another stylist) to help her feel more refreshed, and I glossed with a 7G with a dash of 8GG from Shades line, and it did just the trick to keep her vibrant, but tone down the red to a more natural copper shade.
➡️I did add 7C to the money piece retouch, but next time I would have used permanent haircolor, as she lifts quickly and is a true natural level 6✨
