WHAT’S IN A NAME?

Our name, BFROW, is derived from the fashion slang “be in the front row.” Though this phrase is common at fashion shows—whose front row seats are a prestigious place to be—it has a deeper meaning for us:

There was an art movement called avant-garde, in which artists pushed boundaries and made work that was innovative, radical, and unorthodox.

In French, avant-garde has a military meaning of being in the front lines. So, in other words, avant-garde artists were in the front lines, leading innovation in art.

In the same way, BFROW is in the “front lines” of Fashion, Beauty, and Lifestyle. We are leading innovation in this industry, changing the perception and meaning of collaboration forever.
