There’s no doubt that water is probably the most important thing we have to ingest.⁣

But, how Much Water Should You Drink?⁣

✅Decided to post this because I’ve been getting many questions asking about how much water you should be drinking!⁣

✅After doing the research on this topic hydration is quite complicated and it varies due to many different factors such as age, gender, weight, height, fitness level, type of activity, duration of activity, etc.⁣

💥However, new guidelines were published by the Institute of Medicine of the National Academies for Hydration DURING Exercise:⁣

💧Drink when you are thirsty. Also, if your urine is yellow, you might need some water. ⠀⁣
💧You can also weigh yourself before and after you exercise to get a sense of how much fluid you typically lose. One pound is equivalent to approximately 700ml of fluid.⁣

❗️Hydration is more than just drinking water! When doing intense activity or activity lasting longer more than 20mins (sweating), you must replenish your:⁣
💧SODIUM, POTASSIUM and MAGNESIUM.❤️ (electrolytes)⁣

💚These minerals are responsible for many essential chemical reactions in your body that allow your muscles to contract, as well as your brain and cells to perform.⁣

"One year, 140 pounds lost.

The anniversary of my weight loss surgery was last week. It feels wrong to let it pass by without taking a moment to reflect.

Weight loss is tricky. Some people praise you for it. Others insist that weight loss won’t last and won’t make you happy.

I think there’s danger is swinging too far in either direction. The truth is somewhere in the middle.

Being in your early thirties, barely able to put own your own shoes, struggling to lift your body up from sitting, out of breath when doing simple tasks, not able to comfortably fit in public places like airplane chairs, and struggling and in pain from just a simple walk around the block is not a happy way to live your life.

I had already developed sleep apnea. More weight related complications and diseases were likely in my future.

has changed my life for the better. It didn’t change how I feel about myself. But it did change how I feel! And that is so important. I liked myself before and I like myself now. But now I can enjoy my life and my family in a way I couldn’t before."

Little does Katherine know, she has our hearts forever and always. Seriously, we could not be anymore proud of what she has accomplished in honestly such a short period of time with us.👏🏼

Katherine (like many of us) has faced her ups and downs, but no matter what she has faced her struggles head on and most importantly communicated them with us so that way we could help guide her through them all!🤎

Katherine started weighing 257lb and now weighs 186lbs making that a total of 71lbs lost! 🤯 This queen has changed so much this year that even she can’t believe it most of the time.

Katherine works out AT HOME using only dumbbells and ($20) bands from Amazon and does this about 4X per week. She is also eating high protein, high carb and moderate fat and is still enjoying all her favorite foods. But one thing I want to highlight is that she is enjoying every second of it..
