MORE MOMENTS (in between) // It’s been a minute since my last check-in. And so much has happened….

First, happy tennis season to all who celebrate. (And if you don’t, be prepared to at our Abbot Kinney atelier because the projector is up and streaming every match pretty much until Labor Day;)). Between the hundreds of clients every week, to countless brand meetings, to forcing myself to socialize and network after I’m done standing for sometimes 12 hr days, to long distance house calls, to prepping for the upcoming Business of Beauty Global Awards, to fundraising, to the last leg of product development to meet our launch dates in the fall….there is SO MUCH HAPPENING.

So much so that, it all finally caught up to me. And the holiday weekend that I was so looking forward to was spent horizontal, in bed. Nevertheless, thank goodness for this colorful life. What a blessing to have a calendar filled with the community and clients and all the things I once prayed for. And hair health is at the forefront of everything I do, but I also think it’s important to take a step back and acknowledge our community without products attached, as you’re the center of it all.

(Sidebar- I’ve been on a major Phil Collins kick lately. That man really has nothing but hits! I found his version of this song particularly beautiful, and appropriate for the moment.)

To state the obvious, this is a team effort in every way, and the only reason my co-founder Myka isn’t pictured next to me is because she has a prior commitment, so I’ll be representing us both on pitch day in Napa.
