Saddened to hear the news of the passing of a dear co-worker. Jaime and I started working for Cesar within a week of each other. He was a natural with both animals and people. We worked during Covid, and I have lots of fun memories of him. Like the time Marty (donkey) slammed into him, leaving him with a black eye. He was on camera, so I had to conceal it for him, and we laughed during the process, while he told me how ‘fancy’ he felt having his ‘glam’ done. He’d come running when you needed him, yet had a calming and easy presence. RIP friend.

Valen and I had an only in LA moment a couple of weeks ago… THE Makeup Legend herself, Ve Neill a sale at her warehouse that was open to Union706 members. She was selling a ton of her supplies including, makeup, tools, props, posters and other cool stuff! We managed to be some of the first people there, and Val manage to snag an original Beetlejuice poster and an Edward Scissorhands photo board. Ve signed them personally to her and that was so cool! I managed to find some great stuff for my kit, and for us both to play with. We both walked away with big smiles on our faces. She and her assistant Paris were both sweet and gracious. Thanks Ve! 💞
