+ strength (anaerobic exercise): lifting weights, hiit
+ cardio (aerobic exercise): running, swimming, biking, hiking
+ mobility: yoga, pilates, dynamic stretching

The unity of all three will create and sustain the foundation for a healthy life.

CONSISTENCY ✨

Doing something consistently good will always be better than doing something inconsistently great.

I would rather you:
-Strength train 2x/week VS everyday and quit
-Complete cardio 2x/week VS everyday and quit
-Eat a well balanced nutritious diet 70-80%/week VS a strict clean diet 100% and quit.

WORLD MENTAL HEALTH DAY

In observance of world mental health day, we are sharing some important facts about national and global mental health.

According to the World Health Organization:
〰️ Close to one billion people have a mental disorder and anyone, anywhere, can be affected.
〰️ Depression is one of the leading causes of illness and disability among adolescents and adults.
〰️ 1 in 5 children and adolescents has a mental disorder.
〰️ Su***de is claiming the lives of close to 800,000 people every year  ̶  1 person every 40 seconds  ̶- and is the second leading cause of death for young people aged 15-29 years.

“A historic opportunity exists to place mental health high on the global agenda. Even before COVID-19, mental health was gaining traction among global development priorities. This campaign will build on this momentum, subsequently leading to more active engagement, commitment and investment in mental health, at the individual, national and international levels.”

U BEAUTIFUL SOUL believes fitness isn’t only about our physical health but our mental health. We commit to daily movement to connect and nurture the mind, body, soul connection. This is a reminder that mental health is the utmost importance during this global pandemic with so many fearing for their health, job security and loss of loved ones.
